: I have a plate that seem to be a shallow serving bowl, a hair over 9 1/2 inches in diameter, scolloped edges (for a lack of a better word), there are 5 ridges inside the bowl on the rising edges, the bowl is white with some gold trim and what looks to be some English Ivy painted on it.

: The back mark (as listed on this web site)is in green and matches C-4 from 1891. The decorator mark matches C-8 and is red or orange in color.

: I have some other pieces that do not appear to be Haviland but may be from the same time period up to the very early 1900's. Their back marks are as follows:

: Wm Guerine Co Limoges
: France W. G.
: Limoges & Co
: France

: The above appear to be coffee cups and one or more have two handles - someone said it was a bullion cup?

: I also have a bowl with a cover, The back mark is

: Higgins & Seiter
: 50 & 52 west 22nd St
: New york
: made in England

: There is a logo below the name that appears to be a C with a J imposed over it. A cresent shaped outline with & Sons is below the c j.

: Any info anyone could give me about the Haviland piece would appreciated. If you know of a web site where I could find info on the W. Guerin & Co, I would be most greatful.

: This stuff has been bouncing around the family for years and noone ever looked at it as anything else than old china.

: Thanks for your help

: Chuck
