I live in Las Vegas, and the heat is a problem if you bring in a box of china which has been outside, and is very warm, and open it in an airconditioned cool room. If the temperatures are radically different the china may crack. Therefore, always let the box sit inside overnight before opening. If I were you I would ask the customer to ship the original box, packing and plate back to you, because I have never seen bubble wrap melt, and we are talking 114 degree heat here in the summer.
