I bought some pieces of Forever Spring by Johann Haviland and was told that this was a 1940's pattern. In looking at this messages, it appears Forever Spring is a 1982 pattern. Isn't this the time period that the company was producing inexpensive china that was available as premiums in supermarkets? The china certainly seems nice enough. It doesn't sound like Forever Spring is considered a "fine china," however. Is it?

I like the pattern a lot, so I am not upset about potentially paying too much. I guess I would not want to trot it out for "special" company if it is supermarket china, but then again, I might do it any way! Maybe it is not Royal Doulton or whatever, but it is definitely pretty!
